At The Speakman Financial Group, we believe that our commitment to service extends into our community, through volunteerism, corporate sponsorships, and charitable giving.
From board memberships to hands-on-work, our team is passionate about making an impactful difference in the lives of others. Here are some of the organizations with which we are involved:
Beverly's PGH is passionate about ensuring that every child and family in our community has access to the support and resources they need to thrive. Their three divisions, Birthdays, Babies, and Basics, are here to provide that support with compassion and care. They believe in building on families' strengths and empowering them to thrive. By working together, we can create a brighter future for our community, where every family feels loved, supported, and valued.
At Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, they are committed to providing access to healthy, nutritious food in our efforts to put an end to hunger in the community. They also know it takes more than food to fight hunger. So they help our neighbors with as many of the root causes of hunger as we can. It is this mixture of programs – some focused on food access, other focuses on resources and referrals – that help individuals and families find a path filled with health, hope, and nourishment.
Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh (HARP) is one of Pennsylvania’s largest non-profit organizations dedicated to the welfare of animals, pet owners and the community. HARP operates two low-cost, high quality veterinary medical centers. In an average year, over 6,500 animals are treated and more than 7,000 spay and neuter surgeries are performed in these facilities.
The mission of Special Olympics PA is to provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
